They are half melon and might have psychic powers. They seem a little weird, but at least they're cute. What could go wrong?

Here are some BIG SPOILERS, so don't read any farther if you don't want to know:
The endings in Superstorm Melon Date basically revolve around how much you flirt vs. how friendly you are. Each of the endings is on a spectrum based on how flirty/friend you are. (You can check this in the stats screen).
Flirtiness > 81%: You and Mel have a super steamy romance, but it doesn't really last. You stay friends and hook up every so often, but you aren't a couple.
61-80%: You are Mel have a strong physical relationship. Sometimes you fight a lot, but your strong physical connection keeps you together, and you make a long-term relationship work.
41-60%: You and Mel have a really balanced relationship. Every jokes about how you're the perfect couple. It's kind of embarrassing, really.
21-40%: You and Mel can't make a long-term relationship work, but you do go into business together selling clothes that Mel designs.
< 21%: You and Mel aren't really a couple at all, but you are best friends for life.

Superstorm Melon Date is an all-time favorite of mine, being one of the first visual novels I ever tried. From the super creative hand-drawn character/environment art to the revelation that in the right circumstances, a post-apocalyptic, hybrid melon person (Mel) could be interesting, hilarious, and honestly quite charming! This format seems like the perfect way to share a vision of the adaptability of humanity, even within the stretch of a half-melon humanoid society. No doubt it's a bit strange but so entertaining!

I honestly loved this. It was so simple yet so amazing. I loved the entire atmosphere, the music was great, the art style isn't what most see as the norm for what is considered 'good art' but that just makes it all the better, gives it its own special charm that can't be recreated.
Sometimes it's nice to take a break and enjoy a pleasant game with a happy ending!
I had no idea what to expect but I enjoyed myself. Mel is an interesting character and the mouth tendrils definitely took me by surprise!
Although is there a reason that Mel's pyjamas are so ugly? 😋

Just between you and I, they are sort of ugly though. I won't defend Mel's sense of fashion.
i really enjoyed this game! mel is super cute as a character and her design is really nice. i played through a few times to do all the different options. 10/10!
